Set up a custom domain name

Table of contents
No headers

With any Tabulas account, you can point a domain name instead of using the default http://username.tabulas.com/ URL. For example, http://kidwest.net/ currently points to http://kidwest.tabulas.com/

In order to use a domain name with Tabulas, you much purchase a domain name from a registrar. GoDaddy.com sells them for $10/year.

Once you register a domain name, point the DNS A records for your domain to 67.15.181.21. Tabulas does not do nameserver hosting, so you should keep that at your domain registrar.

Then, visit http://tabulas.com/cp/settings/settings/domain/ and set your domain name. Here are examples of setting it correctly, assuming you own the domain kidwest.net.

RIGHT:
kidwest.net

WRONG:
kidwest.net/ (no trailing slash)
http://kidwest.net (no prefixed http://)
www.kidwest.net (do not put the www alias)

(Todo: Screenshots in GoDaddy)
