No headers This list I am contributing to occasionally whenever I remember a nasty trend or certain idea that brings back bad memories. Here are some of the first unappealing prospects for the Horrendous trends list:
- mutton chops: those ugly as sin sideburnish things guys wear, they made a comeback in the late 60s-1970s. Some men still wear the hairy mess. I wonder if it is just to mask something they would rather have hidden...acne problem, scars, etc.
- low ridin' jeans w/or w/o undies:This is a modern trend that won't go away. Women think showing off their thongs or buttcracks will make them seem sexy. In actuallity it seems trashy and ranks right up there with slutty. Plus some women don't seem to realize they have butt pimples and it's just so damn nasty. Do us all a favor please & cover up that nasty ass!!
- socks & sandals: sometimes it makes me giggle. sometimes it makes me gag. I take into consideration that some people maybe don't have close others to help them and inform the fashion vic of their lower leg disaster. I would think though that someone with even the slightest brain fragment could realize socks & sandals are freakin' ugly together. Usually it's males doing this. Trust me. You are NOT going to land a date wearing this combo.
- ripped/distressed jeans:it was a trend back in the 80s to buy high end designer jeans and rip them to shreds. Then you would walk to school with your ass hanging out and then promptly be sent back home to get a change of not-so-holey pants.Times have changed. Now we have the cats claws down the front, the ripped w/a patch, the slighty distressed, the medium distressed, etc. Come on people. You are paying to get shitty jeans. If you want ripped jeans with holes then visit some garage sales or go to a thrift shop.
- pet rocks:I wasn't alive during this time but it seems to me the manufacturer thought this one up for the folks without friends.
